Bowie was a guest presenter at the 1999 MTV Video Awards, introducing singer Lauryn Hill (who was one of the big winners of the night) for her performance. BowieNet was also nominated for Best Artist Web Site, but lost out to The Red Hot Chili Peppers in that category.
