I never knew the name of the original piece or composer but when I heard it, I made the immediate association.

I also recall that Garson does a version of the song - it's called 'Gymnopedie No 1 For Piano' and is contained on the album Screen Themes '94 by 'The Michael Garson Orchestra'. You should try to get his feedback.

I can't believe I didn't realize that was based on Heroes. It sounds so like a lovely score composition to me. I imagine it being played over a montage of someone walking home on a snowy night after parting with their lover at the bus station. Not for the last time, just for a short while.

I was actually just trying to record "Jonessienne #2", but I still need to practice... Silly as it seems, I tend to write stuff that I'm not good enough to play. It should be finished in a few days at worst, though.
