Highlight: the closing 20 minute medley, incorporating elements of Ruby Tuesday, I Can See For Miles, Clint Eastwood, and Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey (by Sly Stone).

Lowlight: when the biggest asshole I've ever met in my life threatened to 'knock the block off' of my friend for grooving to the music. I am not a violent man, but I really wanted to pound on his face.

Whenever people come to Chicago they ALWAYS play 18+ shows. Like last year when the Chemical Brothers came we were the only show on their North American tour to be 18 and over, all because it was on 4-20.

Needless to say, there are many a high schoolers going on roadtrips from Chicago to Detroit, Cleveland, or Minneapolis to see their favorite bands.

I don't go to concerts very often. The last time I went was November 2002 to see "Rush" in Iowa on their Vapor Trails tour.

I enjoyed Bright Eyes, opened by Jesse Harris and Arab Strap, last month.

Everything but Arab Strap was pretty excellent.

I went to this fantastic Alkaline Trio concert last wednesday. Even though Matt voice is slowly going, they did a great job.

so very jealous.....

I saw Coldplay on the 11th. Actually, I was kind of dissapointed with their performance. I guess I was expecting more. I couldn't hear most of the guitar parts from where I was sitting (which actually wasn't that far from the stage). And if Chris Martin did another 'sing along' I was going to kill him. All in all, it wasn't a bad show, but I guess I expected too much.

Inconsiderate and uncultured, that's an educated edge!
