I also recently saw Air at the Theatre at MSG, which was about 20 times better than I expected.
I saw Air in 2004 at the Hurricane festival. They finished off a fantastic line-up late at night which had Placebo, Pixies and Bowie playing ahead of them and after all that thrilling action I very much enjoyed their set. The sound was excellent, the light show was good and all that good vibration they gave us way past midnight was quite a treat.
I don't know if I'd go and watch them at a regular show of their own, but that night was great.
And I want to believe that a light's shining through somehow

hmmmm, Adam, we need to work on your local content a bit more. The V mini fest keeps your coolness intact for internationals though

Adam's a concert whore.
Now back to relevance. Here's your chance to see Bjork in concert, Claude.

Of course I had to post here about the fact that I saw Mika yesterday. And he was as amazing as LadyM told me he'd be. He's an incredible showman and performer and he put on one heck of a show even though it later turned he was sick and was in fact performing against doctor's orders. He is also pitch-perfect live, and has great command of the stage.
Also, the people I was with and I got to go meet him in the VIP area after the show, and he was extremely gracious and talked to everyone for as long as they wanted. And then, despite being both sick and nearly drop-dead tired, he went outside to see all the people who were lined up waiting for him by the back door without passes, and sign autographs for all of them too.
So basically I think he is a perfect popstar.

I just returned from Laurie Anderson's show here in Prague. The new stuff is (mostly) brilliant, very political and musically powerful.. can't wait to hear the finished record. Wonderful night. Only An Expert got the crowd going wild.

I saw Laurie Anderson in Melbourne a few years ago. In the entire concert, I think she sang one line. The rest of it was talking to the fucking audience. Most disappointing concert ever.

With all due respect, who goes to a Laurie Anderson concert expecting her to sing?
