Thank you very much Adam. I just wonder, why oh why do they play so much stuff from Computer World and so little from Trans-Europe Express? Naturally it's their show, but still...

last thing i saw was Jay-Z in Amsterdam.
It was pretty good, although he only played for an hour.
It was the shortest concert i've ever been to.

BE WELL !!!

I'd also like to know why they omit the verse about Bowie and Station to Station from the live version. Perhaps it has something to do with the Remix album?.

I think they also played the majority of Man Machine .

You'll have to ask Emil about that, I have not heard any stuff from The Mix (mainly because Emil said it sucks, so I decided not to buy it). I'd presume they might feel rather useasy about namechecking David and Iggy these days, when Kraftwerk has become more and more self-concious and introverted.

True, four our of six songs. However, if you ask me that is more justifiable because the Man - Machine material is more diverse (and better). Naturally I have not heard how they play those songs these days. But in my opinion they should play songs like Europe Endless or Showroom Dummies... but in general they seem to prefer to play the more recent stuff as much as possible, considering that they haven't played any of the pre-1975 material since... well, 1975.

In my opinion, the title track sounded better live. When I got back home, I noticed the vocals on the original track were too far back in the mix (a bit silent compared to the live version).

Au contraire, The Mix was my first exposure to Kraftwerk (someone bought it for me because the cover seemed like something I would like) and I still really like it. Then again, I'm not quite as big as fan as you guys so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Oh, and the last band I saw was The Cowboy Junkies back in October. They closed with Sweet Jane, it was perfect.

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise

Aw, look, he thinks he's Iggy Pop.

We play in the dark, so the music would just be there.

I ushered for a Junkies show at the Warfield in SF a couple years ago; at the close of the encore, Margo said something like 'and now we'd like to close with a cover of a song that we love playing' and everyone thought it would be Sweet Jane, but it wasn't.

Also, I missed seeing Mixmaster Mike (who is apparently the greatest turntablist alive?) for free on Saturday because the line was around the block to get in.
