I'm going out to see a whole bunch of local bands tonight, including a few of my personal favourites: The Heatscores, Suburban Underdog and Protest the Hero. Wooh!
Of all the money 'ere I had, I spent it in good company, and of all the harm I've ever done, alas 'twas done to none but me. And all I've done for wont of wit, to memory now I can't recall,

Let See If I can remember All the one's I've Seen Since Janurary...
Ladytron with Simian @ St andrews, Much fun, not a packed house, which made it all the better.
Tegan And Sara @ Small's A place that actually lives up to it's name. The Show ROCKED, got to Meet them afterwards and such. The only Downer was my Boyfriend's car got broken into. So a word to anyone who comes to michigan and plans to tour the Detroit area STAY OUT OF HAMTRAMICK it sucks big balls. No offence to anyone who lives there.
Mindless Self Indulgence with Tub Rig @ the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids. Was a good show, not as good as the one I saw a couple monthes before. Tub Ring was an alright bad. All my friends really like them afterwards. I met MSI, got stuff autographed. Jimmy urine called my sister a Sexy Librarian. And That's my MSI story.
The Soladad Brothers @ THe Magic Stick A GREAT show, especially if you like Blues Rock. They just blew me away, I've never heard anything so good. I also saw Meg White from the White Stripes there.
Bliss 66, I don't really know if any of you know them. I guess there almost popular, but yeah, there alright If you like bands like eve 6 or Our lady peace.
Well that's about it. I'm trying to get tickets to the next white stripes show. I heard Annie Lennox is playing soon in Detroit, but it's about $100 per ticket!
Soorry about being vague =P

Sadly, I haven't been to a show since September... It was David Usher in Kingston (Canada, not Jamaica, lol). His shows are so amazing, he puts so much energy into it! I had a really good time. :)

A brief update:
Night before last I went to see Spoon, who I am more convinced than ever are perhaps the best thing going in American music these days. They sounded incredibly tight live, especially Britt Daniels' voice, which I find to be one of their selling points. Opening act Crooked Fingers (featuring Eric Bachmann of Archers of Loaf) weren't half bad either.
Even more exciting: we got home from the Spoon show to find out that we'd won a raffle to see Queens of the Stone Age last night at House of Blues, which is a really nice venue. I was a little worn out, and the opening acts sounded like Godsmack meets Candlebox, but QOTSA put on a good show, especially considering I didn't pay a dime for it!

Ute Lemper on Monday. And she was magnificent. So magnificent, in fact, that I felt the need to create a new thread about her. Which went largely ignored...you unenlightened swines!
later, Chris...

Ben Harper supported by Jack Johnson on Wednesday...
Jack Johnson was servicable and, thankfully, only played that bloody Flake once...
Ben Harper gave easily the worst performance of his I've seen (this is #4)... absolute bollocks, not even 12 codeine made it tolerable... it was as if he played Steal My Kisses for an hour and a half.
