Money, I'm shocked and disappointed with you. And I'm starting to worry that I'm going to be the last one left who reads re_mardle's posts, which seems like a dubious privilege.

Personally, I find that he has brought some very interesting responses out of the board. On the one hand, I would objectively consider him to be a train wreck of a troll -- one so obvious and poorly-executed that it gives a marvelous insight into the poster responsible, which is beautiful to a sadist. On the other hand, he has met with a great deal of success; I mean, people keep responding to him like a thinking entity, when it is obvious neither the character represented nor the poster responsible is capable of accurately comprehending any response. I, for instance, feel comfortable saying this with impunity, because even if he does read this, I can't imagine he'd be able to decode it to be insulting or otherwise indulgently gratifying (to be safe, I am throwing in some big words like "impunity" and "read", you'll notice).

Really, though, I'm all for pushing him on as far as he can go. I'm curious, for instance, how much fire and bullshit it would take to get banned from these boards. Being too lazy and too respectful to find out on my own, I view remard as a unique opportunity: He's like one of TW's six simple machines, he converts brief comments from other posters into a massive nuisance. For instance, I just have to say "Rob Cordry" at a random point in this message, and boom, we'll have five more posts containing that revolting baby picture. Fascinating.

I know this doesn't exactly suit you; you like to needle, and it's no fun sticking a needle into something incapable of understanding the prick. But consider it from a different angle: There really is something to appreciate here, because we are indeed in the presence of a unique human atrocity.
