Maybe if people stopped baiting each other (on either side) there might come a time when talking would solve things rather than fighting.

I don't say there is no resposibility for the results of a publication. If they violate any laws they have to take the consequences - and there are laws against the publication of inflamatory material over here but those fortunatly cannot be used before even publishing that material.

Perhaps the press has even to take the moral responsibility for consequences if some Imam burnt himself in front of his moshee or whatever. But as long as you say that they are responsible for any crimes committed out of complete lack of understanding and sanity half a year afterwards it is impossible for me to agree.

It simply does not make sense to even try talking to them under such circumstances since any compromise concerning this incidents means sacrificing freedoms lots of people struggled for during the last centuries.

th0mas brings up a good point, something I was planning to bring up at our next big Group Meeting. See, I'm beginning to think that Team Islam isn't ever going to get on the same page as our side w/r/t the whole peace thing. I think it's time We made it clear that violence will not by tolerated, and the only way to do that is through carpet bombing.
