For goodness sakes Starlite, you really ought to know me better by now, please.

How is that even remotely possible, when you vacillate between "I'm not a racist" and "Let's nuke all those obstinate ragheads," often in the same day?

In reply to:

If it came across as a joke? I apologize.

Even the most ardent of your supporters (b_mardle, I guess, is the ranking member of this crew of 3) should be able to see that this is bullshit without much coaxing.

You want me to believe that posting decade-old PC jokes - which were never funny in the first place - is meant to stimulate discussion? Of what?

The truth, I suspect, is that having nothing resembling good taste, you found them riotous, and being that you have no filter as to what you deem postworthy, they went straight from your inbox to the boards, as with EVERY SINGLE OTHER THING YOU READ.

You're a waste of life, Dogz.

I think if we were more polite and treated him better he would stop this behavior and start contributing something of worth,?

None of you even know what you're talking about new [re: Starlite]

What the hell is wrong with all of you? Cat killing snuff films are fair game but making fun of politically correct terminology isn't? Seriously, those of you with sticks up your asses, I advise you to pull them out soon before your splinters become infected and you die.

And Dogz, thanks for posting. At least I got a good laugh out of it.

Obviously I stomp on kitties in my free time new [re: Bamboo7]

If I remember, you're the one who got all huffy about people making comments about celebrities' looks, but were fine with mocking the mentally retarded, so maybe you wanna consider that a bit before hitting "reply"?

In reply to:

Cat killing snuff films are fair game but making fun of politically correct terminology isn't?

...I don't even know how to respond to that; that statement is so idiotic. I know that you can't have problems with the cat-snuffing, considering that your boyfriend is all about torturing animals, so I'll take it that it's my perceived defense of politically correct terminology that offends you?

If so, let me break it down for you:

a) Yes, surprising as it is, I'm against misogyny disguised as "humor."

b) That was in fact the main point of my post; not defense of PC per-se.

c) Those were really stupid jokes anyway that missed the point half the time.

d) I do think that people who get really bothered with political correctness are ignorant at best. Yes, sometimes it gets to be silly and a nuisance, but god forbid you try to be respectful to people.

e) Why exactly is having a stick up one's ass a bad thing? If anything, it shows that person is adventurous.

I wouldn't be surprised if you did new [re: Starlite]

In reply to:

you're the one who got all huffy about people making comments about celebrities' looks

If I recall, that is not what the argument was about. So maybe next time you might wanna get your facts straight before hitting reply button, dearie.

In reply to:

I know that you can't have problems with the cat-snuffing, considering that your boyfriend is all about torturing animals

What and what? Since when do you know me? And since when do I have a boyfriend that tortures animals?

Oh, and for your information, I had no problems with the cat snuffing jokes. Yes, the film itself is absolutely horrendous but I, unlike some, have a sense of humor. So if someone can make a decent joke about it, then I can appreciate that. I just feel sorry for people who are so uptight that they can't do the same.

In reply to:

so I'll take it that it's my perceived defense of politically correct terminology that offends you?

It doesn't offend me. Your lack of a sense of humor just angers me, but you should know that by now. And it wasn't just you I was talking to. It was everyone that got on Dogz's case just because it was he who posted the jokes. I can guarantee you that if anyone else posted the exact same thing it wouldn't have gotten the exact same response. And so what if he just cut and pasted it. He's not the only one. I seriously doubt that every other thread ever started in the Coffee Shop was a completely original post created solely by the poster.
So next time don't assume I'm talking to just you. My post was directed towards a group of people. I just decided to reply to your post because you're the only person on this messageboard that I truly despise.

In reply to:

Those were really stupid jokes anyway that missed the point half the time

So what was the point, oh wise one?

In reply to:

I do think that people who get really bothered with political correctness are ignorant at best.

You would.

In reply to:

Why exactly is having a stick up one's ass a bad thing? If anything, it shows that person is adventurous

And you say my statements are idiotic.

Oooh, burn. new [re: Bamboo7]

In reply to:

If I recall, that is not what the argument was about.

You don't recall. That was precisely what it was about. (There wasn't an argument either, just you getting all weepy about someone not wishing Bowie a properly happy birthday, and jumping down people's throats about it. Y'know... almost like you didn't have a sense of humor.)

In reply to:

And since when do I have a boyfriend that tortures animals?

Since this:

I do consider it cruel -- in that the animals that go into meat products suffer physical and mental anguish. I enjoy... these facts when eating meat.

But I do think, from time to time, as I lap up the milk from my bowl of raisin bran, of all the blistering sores on the udder of the cow that delivered it, and yes, that does bring a terrific sort of tingle to my spine.

And note that I said he's "all about torturing animals," not that he does so himself.

Though this quote, from the same thread, sure makes it sound like the kitten snuff would be right up his alley:

Personally, I don't see any more reason to feel guilty about taking pleasure in violence than I do about taking pleasure in sex.

In reply to:

I just feel sorry for people who are so uptight that they can't do the same.

Actually, you just seem to not understand that some people might have a sense of humor you just don't get. I bet if you went through my posts you'd have no idea when I'm joking and when I'm not.

Once again you're fucking wrong. This:

In reply to:

someone not wishing Bowie a properly happy birthday

Are not the same thing.

In reply to:

Personally, I don't see any more reason to feel guilty about taking pleasure in violence than I do about taking pleasure in sex.

So, just because my internet boyfriend feels one way about something then I have to feel the same way too? Oh wait, you're the one that posted that crap about "Martial Conduct" aren't you? Figures.

In reply to:

I bet if you went through my posts you'd have no idea when I'm joking and when I'm not.

One: there's no way in hell I'd have the strength to read through all those turds you call posts.
And Two: we've already been over the fact that you (say it with me everyone) have no sense of humor. Don't make me tell you again.
