Moving to a foreign country is the best thing for effortless weight loss. I've lost 2kgs since I moved to Japan despite not doing any exercise barring a little light walking.
I blame: drinking less as I have far fewer people to drink with, the smaller portions they serve here and the fact that almost everything is served raw.
So, yeah, go to www.teachinjapan.com and lose 2kgs a month!

Damn! How could I forget Mad Bran?!?!?
Oh well, it's not like it mattered anyway. You foreigners and your lack of famous breakfast cereal knowledge!

Two years ago I spent a month in India and lost 16 pounds. My forced diet: no beer (well, they have beer, but... puuuuuke!), no meat, no desserts.
Some days we would skip breakfast because we had a train to catch (for some reason Indian people need about 45 minutes to make breakfast), have a Sprite for lunch because there was no place safe to eat and, finally, have some palaak paneer (rice and spinach) and a nan (actually no, they were too dry to be eaten) and then go to bed and sweat all night (after sweating all day also).
When I came back to France, it took me a fortnight to be able to swallow a regular portion of food again.
Well, that's essentially how I feel about life - full of loneliness, and misery, and suffering, and unhappiness - and it's all over much too quickly.

Actually, my favourite cereal is this:

(but the one with dark chocolate, not milk chocolate)
I've tried a number of brands, but that's the only one I like.

I'm not all that big on milk chocolate, myself. I'm more of a dark or white chocolate person.

Chinese food (and hot rice) is not usually something that we Westerners would associate with breakfast foods but it was actually pretty good.
One of my favourite things to do when overseas, Is to eat what the locals have for breakfast, love to experiment with food and that congee sounds right up my street

Drink as in alcohol? yes that does pile on the weight, I'm particularly keen on Jack Daniels/Jim Beam etc... I stick to two glasses a night when not working, I don't drink beer/lager etc... far too gassy for me.
Can't say I'm that keen on raw meat products either
