I can't say I'm devastated or anything, 'cause he had a great career behind him, he was old, and who the hell knows if he had a lot more in him. But death is also a time to celebrate life, and to look back with appreciation on what the dead gave us. Robert Altman gave us some serious fuckin' genius. To Robert. *clink* *clink*

I saw his latest film, A Prairie Home Companion, just a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. He may have been old, but he could still deliver the goods.
