Re: Ready, Dave? Here we go... new [re: Monkeyboy]

You try reading Dogz's posts and staying civil. Or sane for that matter.

Easy. I've been successful with that now for a long time. Even your posts can't really harm me.

It's also easy to keep postings short. 8^)

Where Angels Fear To Tread new [re: Diamond_Dave]

Hi Dave,

to some extend I can agree to your complaints about the coffee shop but you are wrong in arguing that it effects the Bowie talk and subsequently ruining this site as such. It doesn't. While I had to learn to live with too much crap in the coffee shop I can still happily and unharmed enjoy the Bowie related stuff here. Even the most nagging posters keep away from extreme foolishness in the Bowie section (well, DD74 aside). And as both sections run completely seperate from each other and as nobody is forced to visit the coffee shop there is still enough room for fun here.

And I want to believe that a light's shining through somehow

Re: Ready, Dave? Here we go... new [re: Monkeyboy]

Here you go FATSO!!!

A blonde goes for a job interview in an office. The interviewer starts with the basics. "So, Miss, can you tell us your age, please?"

The blonde counts carefully on her fingers for half a minute before replying. "Um ... 22."

The interviewer tries another straightforward one to break the ice. "And can you tell us your height, please?"

The young lady stands up and produces a measuring tape from her handbag. She then traps one end under her foot and extends the tape to the top of her head. She checks the measurement and announces, "Five foot two!"

This isn't looking good so the interviewer goes for the real basics; something the she won't have to count, measure, or lookup. "Just to confirm for our records, your name please?"

The blonde bobs her head from side to side for about fifteen seconds, mouthing something silently to herself, before replying, "Mandy!"

The interviewer is completely baffled at this stage, so he asks, "What were you doing when I asked you your name?"

"Oh, that!" replies the blonde," I was just running through that song, 'Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...'."

I'm totally sane, It's your sick obsession with my dog that worries me , Yes I do find it cruel/hurtful you feel the need to get at me by insulting my Effee.

The only way this site will ever get back to the days of the late 90's is by Evan taking control back and keeping the site updated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what you said here doesn't in fact effect the Conversation Piece in any way.

Re: Fuck off, you stanky cockface new [re: K]

I think what Diamond_Dave means...Is that, If this site was more upto date, members would spend more time discussing Bowie related topics and hopefully less time being argumentative/spiteful and just plain cruel.

That and the fact that Bowie needs to record a new album fast.

Now the savage days are gone new [re: diamondogz74]

Arguments are pretty much the norm across all the Bowie sites as far as I can see. It is due to the inactivity of Bowie. About 6 months ago, I was complaining about this place, but you get out what you put in and someone only complaining about the place without contributing anything themselves is a bit hypocritical. When I was complaining I was still posting other things besides. My main bugbear was people just posting the same old things over and over. This has changed now, and I think there is a bit more diversity in threads.

It would be lovely to have the main site spruced up and updated, but it can only be updated to a certain point, nothing is going to change that much until there is new product and not another reissue either, I mean a NEW album. That would bring more people here.

As it is, I don't think there is much to complain about these days.

True, even the official site Bowienet, has a somewhat bland home page.

Niether do I, I was just suggesting the reason for Diamond-Daves posts.

Been waiting on you for a long time new [re: Monkeyboy]

Dave, I'm still waiting to hear/read who these people are at other Bowie sites who have been scared away.

There's an easy way to do this and a hard way. Ask Dogz if you don't believe me.
