a Facelift for TW?
|
|
|
As far as I can remember TW has always looked the way it has. Do you think it needs a facelift or are you happy the way it is forever?
ie new graphics and new presentation.

This site was changed in accordance with the "Hours" cover style. Perhaps something in the Heathen style?

Methinks that the site looks just fine and that change is bad.
I could be a genius if I just put my mind to it.

the obvious answer would be that you just change your sheet/skin if you're unhappy with the present appearance.

I like it just the way it is. Mostly because, unlike other Bowie sites (bowiewonderworld, and bowienet come to mind) this site actually loads quickly, with no problems. I wouldn't mind if perhaps the background image 'hours...' style could be changed to something more recent, but otherwise I say keep it as it is.

A Heathen style backround would be neat, otherwise I'm pretty much in the line of keeping the site's basic appearance. However, should a new Heathen-backround be used, the hours-one ought to be kept alive somewhere, just as you can still see the Outside-backround on some parts of the site. Also the colours of the main page would probably have to be modified to look good with the Heathen style.

I am with alys on this one: as one who sometimes uses old computers, modems, nonstandard browsers etc, I would strongly oppose to any shockwave-whatever fancy stuff that will never load and never work. On the other hand, an update on the graphical profile could be fun for a change.

I agree. I use a computer which doesn't support even java, so let's keep TW as simple as possible. Some cha-cha-cha-cha-changes can be done, but please think of us that have to use lousy workplace computers.

I would aswell, it's not a revamp in BNet style I was meaning just simply the general theme. currently TW reflects mainly Hours (atleast the back drop). shockwave maybe fancy but alot of machines don't like it. I can never understand why some sites insist on shockwave, sure it looks good, but who really wants to see the fireworks when all you want is the fire.
