Today, a handbag icon has been placed on the remaining "crap threads" in order to conserve space at TW.

This does not prevent you from having a picture beside your post - there is still a means to upload it to another host and reference it via your profile.

i'm really surprised the crap threads have avoided being locked as long as they have. they're really no reason for them. you can check your picture by your profile, and check your signature just by (dear god) making a post, you can always delete it.

and there's really no reason to use tw to host your image, there's lots of places to do that, or you could ask someone who has a paid website to host for you.
