Okay, I realize this is a problem with bigmailbox and not Teenage Wildlife, but has anyone else with a TW e-mail account been unable to log in for the past week? I tried going to bigmailbox's main page, but, just as it does when I try to log in, the operation times out.

Anyone have a clue as to what's going on here? Is the problem on my end? If not, when will this be fixed?

I check mine most every day and it has been working fine. This information probably doesn't help you a lot as you asked for who couldn't log in ...

I've noticed this too, I haven't been able to log in since Friday and I can't view the bigmailbox main page either. So I don't think there's a problem on your end.
I don't have a clue about what's going on and I miss my mailbox so much.
I hope this will be fixed soon.

Hmmm. I haven't noticed any problem, but I haven't been checking my mail very often anyway.

What bothers me is that sometimes posts that I know have been sent by other people to my TW addy just never arrive. It's happened often enough that I think the problem is with bigmailbox and not at the other end.

Could one of you lucky folks with working e-mail send a message to bigmailbox's support address? I ask because it seems as though I'm not the only one experiencing problems.

I should add that I still couldn't log in when I tried to on another computer.

I check my email every two days or so. I've had no problems with mine whatsoever aside from the mountains of junk mail which continue to clog my mailbox.

kellyjean has reported the same problem.

The screen that appears for her is "page can not be found".

Seeing the problem appears for some users and not others, I do wonder whether it is specific to certain web browsers.

Perhaps people could list what browser and operating system they are using so we can determine if the fault is browser specific.

My usual approach is - if it doesn't work in Explorer, then try Netscape.

I tried logging in on Internet Explorer, but to no avail.

Well I just checked it about 15 minutes ago and now it seems to be working. Hopefully this means everyone's problem is solved and not just mine.

For the record, I use internet explorer and use windows 98... the message I got, when there was the error, was "this page cannot be found"

Yeah, I still can not login, and it has been for already a week or so. It's driving me crazy cause that email is very important to me. I got to know Evan's private address, and tried to contact him, as long as I know he's not checking the "webmaster" one. But I still got no answer. Gosh, I hope I get my mail back soon

I haven't been able to access my e-mail either. And it has been going on like this for more than a week. It seems it has cleared up for some people, but I still get the page not found error. I really hope it isn't gone for good, as I have some really meaningful e-mails and addies that are in that e-mail only... so I'd be rather sad if it is gone...

I haven't received any of the mails I know for a fact people have sent to my TW address, all week....now that isn't nice. They've just disappeared into space. I even temporarily lost our TWer convention pics.

The odd thing here is that TWmail works fine for me. It has worked all week.

Mine also always works fine. Except for the giant popup that takes over the whole screen every single time I open my mailbox.

It still does not work for me either. It has been down for something like three weeks. I have some really important/personal e-mails that mean very much to me, that I'd at least like a chance to get to once. I'm wondering if there is a way to contact bigmailbox.com because even their main page does not work. For those of you that the e-mail works for, could you try and get some contact information and post it here?

why don't you PM me some details so I can forward them on or PM me an email I can pass on direct. It seems to be certain OS problems and not necessarily bigmailbox problems - otherwise I wouldn't be able to access it either!

It isn't an OS problem, because I've tried connecting there from a Dell Windows ME computer, a Compaq Windows 98 computer, and a Mac OS 9.2. So, it is a near certainity that I can't connect because of the issues they are having with one of their backbone providers as Wraith2 posted. I'm just glad that this means that the problems are only temporary. :)
