I have noticed a few characters who seem to make similiar posts, i wont mention names but i have suspicions.

How widespread is the practice of hiding behind multiple names here at TW, and how far is it tolerated? Curious.

Some users think they're going to be witty by registering second accounts and mimicking political figures or television show personalities. A few succeed but most others fail.

The problem is when a poster registers usernames just so s/he can insult people without being held accountable. Alternately, some make second accounts to give their threads more replies; an exercise in narcissism.

Well it's not like there's really anything you or I can do about it. If a secondary character gets to be a problem, Adam will ban it. Just treat characters like little_girl and shyster as the trolls they are: don't reply to their posts.

I'll concede that I don't have a problem with all secondary characters, but the majority of them are simply uninspired crap.

Personally, I think very few of the posters here have enough personality to support more than one incarnation.

I'd say it’s tolerated right to the very top since two certain parties, who shall remain nameless, are known to have one or more aliases that they use here.
