OK, I still find that just a tad bizarre, but to each his own.

It's just an aide-memoire. As I've already explained here and elsewhere, I don't remember half the people here from one day to the next. With most of the ones whom I do remember, I do so because they're antagonistic towards me. So, in order that I may be well-armed to deal with their antagonism, I keep track of their details so that I can, if possible, use said information to undermine them at any indeterminate future point. My profession is documentation. In that context, there's nothing unusual about it at all. People who work to maintain IT systems keep logs. People who work in accounting keep books. I work as a writer, so I write things down if I need to remember them.

Here's an idea - if you're so desperate for my attention/approval, don't have a go at me. It'll work wonders.

In reply to:

most of you people just blend into one. Apart from friends, it's only the funny (like Monkeyboy), the extremely rude (like Strawman), the extremely stupid (like DD74) or the insane (like R/R) who stand out.

Wait a minute!

I have only been back for a few days, but you forgot to mention the extremely sexy (me), the extremely horny (me) and the extremely cool (me).

In reply to:

All the rest are just there.

Alright. We agree on that.

I keep those puppy styles in the Marquis kennels new [re: 96dbFreak]

I think I've pinpointed exactly what it is that confuses me about you, Stu. See, you can dish it out with the best of them. Or, at least, you never hesitate to be antagonistic and smarmy. And I admire you for it for the most part, because I always find that being a cantankerous dick is the easiest thing to get across on a message board.

The difference, though, is that you seem to have an exceptionally low tolerance for criticism, or indeed for someone making a joke at your expense. The rest of us assholes, I suspect, live for being sniped at as much as we do the sniping. We certainly don't get all bent out of shape when someone 'sides' with one of our 'enemies.'

Oh well. I suppose this post will have run out the meter on our reserves of mutual good-will, and that I'll be chalked back up on the Big Board. Its too bad, because I have come to truly enjoy your bizarre paranoia.

Sadness is for poor people.

I'm confused Marquis. How come other people sniping is ok, but when I do it, it's not? Oh I forgot, it's one rule for them and....

I just react. What's wrong with that? It's what most of the fuckers here do (I just do it more elequently).

And pp, I don't bozo people anymore, I just try to ignore idiots - like you!

Stuart, read his post again. He said it is okay for you. The issue is not that we mind when you talk shit, it's that you can't take what you're dishing out.

It's like this, if I were to make reference to the regularity with which I nail Marquis' dear old mother, he would no doubt respond in kind. You, on the other hand, would call the person an idiot or a puppy and say, "it's not surprising that you'd say that, you have a history of disagreeing with me. Did I mention I don't know who you are?" Then, when you got called on it, you'd try to pass it off as a joke that we wouldn't get because we're not Australian.

I guess what I'm saying is: be funnier when you're on defense. A lot of your unprovoked mockery is pretty good. That shit you busted out on Soho_Beatnik was gold.

And that blond guy did a tiny, tiny dance!

Perfection is my middle name . . . [re: 96dbFreak]

I never said your sniping wasn't ok. I guess I just detect a certain level of anger/sociopathology in your replies that is largely absent in other people's. Also, I have to factor in your predilection for attacking people based on some imagined collusion in a TW-wide conspiracy against you. I mean, that's the sort of crap I'd expect from a drivel-dripping newbie, not from a seasoned veteran. I understand coming down on people for admiring diamondogz, because, well, that's just lunacy, but your wont to lump people together into one big target isn't admirable. Besides, its always much more effective when you pick apart an individual, and more fun, too.

Also, you mispelled 'eloquently.'

Maybe I'm wrong about this whole thing, though, if pablopicasso is aligning himself with me.

Sadness is for poor people.
