Sadly I've been absent so long that I'm out of the loop with current events, though, like the hordes of newbies tacked onto the end of the thread, I won't allow that to stop me having my say!
Let me put it this way: Diamondogz74 is now part of the TW Elite. Since his banning he has changed beyond all recognition into a stable, well-rounded individual who no longer goes attention-begging (unlike Hangontoyourself who replies to every thread (rough estimate) a million times (another rough estimate)). So welcome back, Dawg - I'm pleased you've finally found your sanity.
Coming from me, this should be taken as a high compliment.

Not necessarily EJ, normally cockney rhyming slang uses two words to describe another...
Example Apples and Pears = Stairs Boat race = Face Plates of Meat= Feet and so on and so forth
And Im sure zigbot is amazed that this subject cropped up purely coincidently.
I actually think the word derives from old gay slang words, as in NAF ( not available for fun ) as used during war times on board ships, I saw a very good documentary once on the use of old slang words.
Of course over the years NAF has come to mean other things, namely old or dated etc...
So the use of the word troll was used as in looking for trade / sex.
And NO I have never trolled anywhere

Except, in conversation, in is common for only the first word to be used, which is what makes it so confusing for those not well-versed in it (although even having the second, rhyming word probably wouldn't help in a lot of cases).

Well im not that well versed in Cockney, but I should imagine to only use one word, must make you a true cockney, otherwize the confusion would be laughable.
The only cockney I've seen is on Eastenders years ago, when the programme was still half decent.

I'm so glad he's back. Actually, I have some problem with this new trend of banning folks for there mere reason that they are annoying. I think that banning should be used only in cases of outright, intentional abuse. If a person is just a moron I think that should be even more of a reason to keep them around. That way if someone like me should ever feel the random need to make fun of a poster we can just look up thier posts and let the evil fly. Tony doesn't post nearly enough, Shyster is "gone", and Thomas Ismail is too, well, Jewy for my taste. Give me a good, dependably stupid poster with regular faults and inaccuracies and I'll show you a happy Monkeyboy.
