The Return Of DDgz
|
|
|
Welcome back.
Surely you must have felt, or still are, quite angry about the ban and must have new reservations about how the board is run and the people that post on it.
Point 1: All I ask is, why have you come back? It's not that I have any real problems with you being here, I'm quite a casual poster in the sense that I only post occasionally, but it was quite apparant you weren't wanted, so does that mean you're going to curb your ways? Or don't you think you done anything wrong?
Point 2 : This is directed at everyone else really. Do you feel discouraged that Ddgz has been allowed back? Is it going to stop you posting? Isn't Claude making the same gormless posts as Ddgz was before he was banned?

I feel discouraged that ddz has returned. I enjoyed TW more during his absence than during the entire previous year. However, rules are rules and we had to let him back.
And as for Claude, he does post a lot of bullshit. But he also posts a lot of valuable things. Not to mention that he's far less annoying then ddz.
What I'd really like to know is what ddz did while he was away? Stared at a black screen for days at end?

Sure I was initially very annoyed, It's a humbling experience, but one I would reccommend a few others trying.
I can see no difference to the boards as such, maybe a lack of more verteran posters.
Infact being an outsider looking in was rather amusing, I came back because I said I would, I enjoy this site very much.

I worked hard, kept in touch with friends via emails, had a FAB holiday in Turkey, Oh yes! and purchased myself the Bowie boxset, quite a pleasent sojourn.
Im very sad that summer is now over.
Well, what you don't know doesn't hurt you

What rules? You decided arbitrarily to ban him, as many were asking you to do, and then, just as arbitrarily (it seemed at the time), adjusted your censorship to put a time limit upon it.
You moderators are to blame and will no doubt put your hands up and say "Mea culpa" when it all turns pear shaped again as desperate TWers plead for the ban to be reintroduced, permanently, to spare us from the psychotic meanderings of Norfolks second least favourite son. In reply to:

Yeah, but so is genital herpes.

Unfortunately we are bound by the rules set for us by Evan. Those include the rule that people will be banned only temporarily at first, then they are given another chance and if they continue the behaviour they sported before, then they'll face a permanent ban (this is obviously excluding clear troll cases like Zombie Dave or TumbleTwirl).

Ahhhhhhhhhh! So, one of the unwritten rules actually has form and substance, eh? I await its implementation with interest.

He has come back, he has posted sensibly, he has obeyed the rules and hasn't come back with an attitude, yet already there is a thread made about him. How about giving him a chance people?
Remember Dog baiting is illegal.
There has already been more posts made about him today than he has made himself. Something which I have been told by some moderators that I was wrong about. Let's all just be adult, please.

It is a sad sad day for all humanity. I've already killed 4 strangers just because of the sudden rage this tragedy has brought on me.
In reply to:

At the first sign that these boards are going to be as bad as they used to be when he was here - in a word : Yes
In reply to:

Yes, but Claude mostly keeps it to himself and doesn't decide to answer people and posts aimlessly. He starts his own threads and just goes to town. Dogz will be in every thread, especially the ones where he is not welcome, if he is anything like how he used to be. If Dogz started his own threads and just entertained himself and the couple of people who will put up with him, then I'd be quite happy.
I am prepared though for a lot of lies, idiotic behaviour (as opposed to silly), trolling and the usual. If it doesn't happen I'll be surprised and accept him without malice.

Yes indeed. I'm Norfolks least favourite son yet I never got banned.
Where the hell did I go wrong?
