The Return Of DDgz

Welcome back.

Surely you must have felt, or still are, quite angry about the ban and must have new reservations about how the board is run and the people that post on it.

Point 1: All I ask is, why have you come back? It's not that I have any real problems with you being here, I'm quite a casual poster in the sense that I only post occasionally, but it was quite apparant you weren't wanted, so does that mean you're going to curb your ways? Or don't you think you done anything wrong?

Point 2 : This is directed at everyone else really. Do you feel discouraged that Ddgz has been allowed back? Is it going to stop you posting? Isn't Claude making the same gormless posts as Ddgz was before he was banned?

Re: The Return Of DDgz new [re: BigFatDog]

I feel discouraged that ddz has returned. I enjoyed TW more during his absence than during the entire previous year. However, rules are rules and we had to let him back.

And as for Claude, he does post a lot of bullshit. But he also posts a lot of valuable things. Not to mention that he's far less annoying then ddz.

What I'd really like to know is what ddz did while he was away? Stared at a black screen for days at end?

Sure I was initially very annoyed, It's a humbling experience, but one I would reccommend a few others trying.

I can see no difference to the boards as such, maybe a lack of more verteran posters.

Infact being an outsider looking in was rather amusing, I came back because I said I would, I enjoy this site very much.

What rules? You decided arbitrarily to ban him, as many were asking you to do, and then, just as arbitrarily (it seemed at the time), adjusted your censorship to put a time limit upon it.

You moderators are to blame and will no doubt put your hands up and say "Mea culpa" when it all turns pear shaped again as desperate TWers plead for the ban to be reintroduced, permanently, to spare us from the psychotic meanderings of Norfolks second least favourite son.

Unfortunately we are bound by the rules set for us by Evan. Those include the rule that people will be banned only temporarily at first, then they are given another chance and if they continue the behaviour they sported before, then they'll face a permanent ban (this is obviously excluding clear troll cases like Zombie Dave or TumbleTwirl).

At the first sign that these boards are going to be as bad as they used to be when he was here - in a word : Yes

In reply to:

Yes, but Claude mostly keeps it to himself and doesn't decide to answer people and posts aimlessly. He starts his own threads and just goes to town. Dogz will be in every thread, especially the ones where he is not welcome, if he is anything like how he used to be. If Dogz started his own threads and just entertained himself and the couple of people who will put up with him, then I'd be quite happy.

I am prepared though for a lot of lies, idiotic behaviour (as opposed to silly), trolling and the usual. If it doesn't happen I'll be surprised and accept him without malice.

I wouldn't exactly go that far but i've got to agree that this bloody thread is the most pathetic thing i've seen in a long time.
I'm clearly not fond of the guy in question but there's absolutely no excuse for this thread to exist. His return wasn't exactly the post overload that we all expected and so fucking what if you think his contribution for the day was abysmally bad? I can honestly say that his posts today were much less painful to read than the crap that Blacktropic84 has wanted to share with us lately.

Even though I would have been the first to celebrate his permanent ban, I have a hunch that this thread will only worsen the situation. In other words, leave the guy alone, for your own sanity's sake if nothing else.

I'm a bit drunk at the moment so i'll keep all rights to withdraw this statement.

Nope, but your computer is. Bad, bad computer. I suggest you thwap it with a rolled newspaper.
(Well, actually I can't see the page either. Their server may be down.)

A troll is a poster on a message board, news group or other internet discussion group, whose only aim in posting is to annoy others and intentionally start flame wars. Could be that the TW definition would be more complex than that, seeing as we get a huge variety of trollish characters here.

Not necessarily EJ, normally cockney rhyming slang uses two words to describe another...

Example
Apples and Pears = Stairs
Boat race = Face
Plates of Meat= Feet
and so on and so forth

And Im sure zigbot is amazed that this subject cropped up purely coincidently.

I actually think the word derives from old gay slang words, as in NAF ( not available for fun ) as used during war times on board ships, I saw a very good documentary once on the use of old slang words.

Of course over the years NAF has come to mean other things, namely old or dated etc...

So the use of the word troll was used as in looking for trade / sex.

And NO I have never trolled anywhere

I'm so glad he's back. Actually, I have some problem with this new trend of banning folks for there mere reason that they are annoying. I think that banning should be used only in cases of outright, intentional abuse. If a person is just a moron I think that should be even more of a reason to keep them around. That way if someone like me should ever feel the random need to make fun of a poster we can just look up thier posts and let the evil fly. Tony doesn't post nearly enough, Shyster is "gone", and Thomas Ismail is too, well, Jewy for my taste. I refuse to believe that he's the same person.

Oh it's the same person. Same fractured English.

He also appears to have joined BWW (so now I know his IP address, which might come in handy - file in dossier). Hopefully he'll keep his behaviour in check there too (though Mr Kinder generally brooks no crap so if he acts up he'll be banned swiftly).

Because the TW system was so clearly ineffective, and didn't have a positive impact on ddz74 at all...

Because it defeats hiding behind an alter

Because the TW system allowed a poster who was belligerently determined to ignore all demands to curb his bad behaviour back in. He has contained his enthusiasm for now....

Not if the vicar is also behind the alter. He's certain to spot him.

Seriously though, where?

Something tells me a ddz74 alter might not be too difficult to spot.

And has shown absolutely no indication that this situation may change. And has also shown contrition for and realisation about his former behaviour. As well as providing a degree of explanation for it.

Alright, the "dossier" remark was a joke. Do a search for the word here. You might be able to figure out the gag (then again.......)

Alright, I just don't like him. Is that too difficult to understand? I'm not the only one. There's a moderator here (who shall remain nameless) who expressed an even stonger opinion to me privately. We don't necessarily have to like someone just because they're a character. Jeez there are several people here who hate my guts.

It was? Really?! So you mean you don't actually spend your life monitoring the activities of various members of this board?! My god...how did I miss that? (Do a word search on sarcasm...you might be able to figure out the gag. Then again... ...)

Not at all. You might remember that I was one of ddz74s biggest critics during his pre-banning days. And by that, I mean right back from when he was an anon, posting as Pinups10. However, since he has come back, he's been nothing but a decent poster. Not, perhaps, up to the standards of, say, Marquis, Ziggfried or EJ, but certainly no Pianocraft! He's even be insightful at times...and how many people here can you say that of?

Alters From Bad Homes new [re: 96dbFreak]

In reply to:

No, fairly easy. I disliked the dd74 from before the ban and can well live with what we get from him at the moment because in the good cases he supports discussion here and in the rest he doesn't hinder it. Which stands in stark contrast to those who find it funny to post idiocy as alter egos. Those are the folks I do not like here. As dicussed before: Some alters do work nicely but that's just very, very few. The others are simply hindering talk and exchange here. Those are the people who really deserve a strong disliking - and they get that from me.

Re: The Guillotine new [re: EJSunday]

:-P

Actually i lead the Administrator (Si) to believe that David Bowie recorded "See Emily Play" to make fun of Alice Cooper. I then went on to say that the song is actually about Alice hating cats.

That, and i tried to become the Adminstrator by making a poll and saying that i was a Canadian Nazi.

I also wrote a story about fucking a guy in an airport washroom and then stole his wallet and cellphone.

I also called the Administrator an idiot.

I was mean to people

....... Bunch of pussies over there
