Oops! There has been a system error. Usually these errors resolve themselves within a couple of minutes. If you see this error again in 5 minutes, please email the webmaster.
System Error: DBI connect('torrie_teenage2:db17.pair.com','torrie',...) failed: User torrie has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections at modules/w3t.pm line 491
This site is going to hell! There's got to be a way to solve these problems. Who's responsible for the server? Make the errors go away!

THBDH and H.
But to save you from reading through all that, apparently the problem is a corruption is the basic forum software. I do not know if it is fixable (and even if it is, Evan is the only one who could do it). If it isn't fixable, the only possibility to stop the oopses would be to change to forums to another software platform, which would force people to re-register for the new MB amongst other things. And again, Evan is the only one who could do it.

I didn't really found an answer to my question there.

From what I know about computers there's got to be a way of doing this, keeping all (at least most) users and information. This, of course, takes a lot of thought and long scripts, but it works. In the military we change severs to better ones all the time- the users don't even notice anything changed. Two years ago (I wasn't there, but still) the file servers, containing all users data, were changed from win NT to win 2000. All data was preserved.
How come only Evan can do things? What about Adam? He's an administrator. If only Evan can do it and he doesn't come here anymore, does this mean we're screwed?

In the first thread, towards the end. But I said it to you anyway in the same post.
The problem with Adam's powers in this is that he's an administrator but not the webmaster. These boards are tied to the TW fan registry, and to sort out all those connections someone with the ability to edit poth the main site and these boards would be required. Only Evan can do that. Also, I'm not quite sure how much Adam really can do about these forums. But knowing him, if there is anything that he could do he would have already done it.

Can't those privileges be transferred to someone else? That way we could revive the whole site. This has been talked about before, I'm sure many TWrs will support doing so.

Since no one replied I get to think no one support reviving the site. That really is too bad, I thought at least Pablo and LadyGD will want to help. But no, you just like this forum slow and full of oopss. Unlike the US I guess the people here get what they want- a dead site and a dieing forum.
You can't blame me for trying though. I'm rather new and I probably misinterpreted the whole deal thinking you wanted to make this place better. I'm sorry, I won't bother you anymore about this.
