Now that Bowie news is very light on, perhaps it would be a good time to merge The News Today back with Views and Questions......at least for a short time. Any comments on this?

It would give the Euro mods (thanks P2C) one less thing to complain about us, when we put things in the wrong section.

Seriously though, there seems little point for it at the moment, although I did hear Ziggy Stardust on the radio this morning, maybe I should post that?

It certainly seems to make sense for the time being. When - if? - we get a new Bowie release, or some genuinely noteworthy news, that might be the time to split the fora again. Until that time though, having separate fora for very closely related topics seems a bit superfluos.

Personally, I don't think so. The system of two forums has worked well thus far, even if there is currently little activity on the News forum. I'd rather keep the two forums separate.

Does the fact that there're not a lot of posts there bother anyone?

I think even if there aren't a lot of news, if something does happen it deserves to have a place of its own.
And if it's meant to be temporary, I don't see why bother...

I don't think it should be done, but only because I'd get terribly excited that there's x many posts in the combined forum and find that instead of any news there was simply three threads, one asking what Iman's up to and the other two asking if they should buy Buddha of Suburbia.

So, if you're looking to avoid disappointing me, no. I find that somewhat doubtful, however, and should mention it's not a particularly bad idea and I certainly see the point.

I had such a steady diet of riot control gas that I became a junkie, & I still get nostalgic for it on slow nights.
