I'm just curious. Evan is not here but perhaps someone knows how these things work.

This advertising on the top of my TW page is what helps Evan pay for this site, right. So right now, adverstising seems to be at an all-time low, with ValueClick's own ads showing up almost all the time - because, correct me if I'm wrong, I figure that ValueClick is the provider of these ads, and they use their own ad as filler material when noone else wants to advertise at a crappy Bowie site, right?
Is that correct?
If so, is Evan losing money like hell now and is seeing his advertising incomes drop?

Well I wouldn't say this site was crappy, quite the contrary actually it's one of if not the best Bowie site I know for interaction.

It is odd how the adds are very annoying, Im sure we must all see very different adds in our own countries, at the moment in the UK it's for Sky television, of recent times it's been for Powergen and a film I.Robot and that one was very animated and very very annoying.

Of course - we could always pay for this crap. I don't mean via membership. We should just run our own ads at the top of TW. I could advertise my shows there, P2C could promote WILCO albums and ohramona could sell her ass!
Or (to take a less commercial approach) Twister, Monkeyboy and co could just run banners abusing each other.

Well, actually apart from the conversation piece TW isn't very good these days, as the most recent material is missing and there is much better detailed material available of the older stuff at places like Bassman and the Illusitrated Discography.

The words "crappy Bowie site" were originally mine and, yes, I meant that it is no longer being updated and probably gets fewer and fewer hits, so that the advertisers probably see it as crap.
