You're absolutely right about that, Shelle. See, I sort of got an alter ego vibe from you early on, but I figured I'd try giving you the benefit of the doubt about being for real. As the evidence started piling up against this being the case, I admit to some terrible waffling, and I'm truly sorry.

Now, of course, I'm all but convinced I know what your deal is, and so the only question which remains is how it'd be most fun to interact with you in the future.

Surely Stu, you do not doubt that there exists at least one TWer with copious free time on hir hands, and lack of thoroughly engaging hobbies who might construct such an "elaborate" deception.

I don't doubt that it's possible, but it just seems a little too elaborate. The coincidence of her arrival here and her commencement of a livejournal soon after might simply be put down to her having recently acquired internet or maybe broadband access or having discovered new places to go.

Maybe she learned of livejournal from exploring this site where numerous narcissists advertise their own mental meanderings?

Don't get me wrong, I give her "the benefit of the doubt," inasmuch as it really makes no difference to me whether I'm interacting (or crushing on) a real person or an alter ego... I absolutely adore Shelle and I absolutely adore adoring Shelle; in the context of TW, it makes absolutely no difference whether she is the product of biology or of imagination.

That being said, however, if you are going to make a distinction, seriously, how fucking obvious does it need to be?

But take a look at her livejournal. Would one of the alter creators here really go to that much trouble to make us think they're real when they're not? If so then they're even more psycho than I'd imagined.
