Re: Today's Modest Proposal new [re: Marquis]

I'd be faily pleased with (would be banned by half the board). Since...you know, it's true.

Why won't anyone get that I'm so not joking about this issue?

The one post in which I treat Ddgz humanely new [re: diamondogz74]

I'll admit that you do have the rare post that I am genuinely happy to have seen. But I would like to see the following things removed from your posts:

- Questions that could easily be answered through a Google search. Examples of this: What is a (insert product name)? I've never heard of (insert person's name), can you tell me more? This habit could actually be turned around to become something useful because you could take a couple of minutes to find the answer to your question, then post a link for anyone else who might want more information.

- "I agree." Or any variation on that theme. It's just bad conversation to post something so empty on a public forum. If you agrre, that's fine. If you like something, great. But unless you are going to offer somthing more than a simple yes or no (or a "you look nice in that picture"), it is just common courtesy to do so in a PM. I think it's safe to say that nobody here really cares what you or I think of someone elses picture. And I'll admit that there is a fine line with me asking for people's numbers or whatever, but at least that's adding something no matter how small.

- Puntcuation and smileys. Please learn to communicate like an adult. If you want to have a particular style, that's great and I encourage it. But at least have it resemble the English language. I often give you shit about beng in the medical field. This is because I find it hard to believe that someone who is given such a responsibility can't manage to communicate properly and/or vice versa. Read Persilot's comments about JAMIESIM for more about that. I'll even find it for you if you want.

If you can manage to do these things, or even make a clear attempt to, I think my disdain for you would go down considerably.

Re: Banning Ddgz again new [re: Humbert]

Here. Just thought it was fairly apparent.

I was afraid that this would be the answer. The thread you're pointing to is pointless, and gives no good reasoning to why Ddgz should be banned. Neither does this thread. And as Beltene hasn't sent any pics until now, I will just turn to something more interesting.

See you in some constructive discussions later.

/Carsten

I don't know about pointless. It was, at the time, a place for TW to come together and celebrate our temporary riddance of the well-meaning nuisance. The "good reasons" you refer to are mentioned in passing - notably by Sysyio - and were spelled out in exhaustive detail on several prior threads. If someone wants to link a couple of them, that'd be great.

Note also that with some notable exceptions (pablo, JarethsGirl), Dogz' defenders on that thread are dimbulbs like Hangontoyourself and OleanderWhoosh, while a chorus of cheers was raised by a veritable TW All Star Team.

I saw it differently. If you wait repetition out long enough, the cycle usually works to be funny -> mildly amusing -> stupid -> annoying -> fucking annoying -> funny again -> fucking hilarious. It was cut off in the middle of its natural cycle. And that's a shame.

Re: There's what's right, and there's what's right [re: Marquis]

I think this one is good; a couple of the board's most well-liked posters stated ddz was the reason for their no longer posting, or no longer posting as often. I also think some of the best reasons for his banning are put down. And, it's hilarious.
