If only. Just practicing lets face it, when you become the new moderator you’re going to have to be a lot more balanced. That probably means that someone will have to step forward to be the new "bad boy" on the block… I’m willing to take up that role… hahahahahaha

I like Sys well enough - although the fact that he can't abide Hunky Dory makes him a bit suspect in my book!

I think that I am very balanced. I just make fun of people sometimes. If it wasn't you, you'd agree that I would make an excellent mod.

Vote for me, and all your wildest dreams will come true.
If I could think of a good sig, I'd post.

One thing I would like to add to this argument, and one which appears to have been missed; When did Moderator equal censor?
The removing of offensive material is only one function of a moderator's functions. They are also there to advise people on the workings of the message board, there to assist with problems members might have, for example log-in difficulties, how to use the more advanced features of the message board etc. They are there to defuse volatile situations between posters and also to do the day to day housekeeping of the board, moving threads to correct sub fora etc. It is a lot more, or should be than just deleting the odd tub girl picture.
They should be a point of reference to any member who needs their help on matters relating to the board.

Do we really want people who are so retarded they can't figure it out themselves posting?
Less tards please, not more.
Also, Pablo, no matter how you dress it up, you'd be just about the worst possible choice for a moderator. Yes, you're helpful on occasion. Many occasions even. But you lose the run of yourself too often.
When you do that as a poster and go off for one of your two day sulks, it's funny. But if you did it as a mod, you'd piss so many people off this place would fall apart even faster than it is. There's also no real consistency to your views. It seems to depend almost entirely on who you see as your friends and enemies at any point.
I like dogs. You always know what a dog is thinking. It has four moods. Happy, sad, cross and concentrating. Also, dogs are faithful and they do not tell lies because they cannot talk.

Shelle, I don't know how I can make you understand this any better than this...
I DON'T WANT TO BE A MODERATOR.
Maybe a year ago, but not now. I know I am too emotive to be a moderator, I would be too unbiased on occasions. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see either some of the other moderators take a little more interest in the place, or a couple of new ones to take some of the burden. If nothing else, let someone have control of the news feeder on the front page, it cannot be that difficult to do in this day and age.

This reminds me of the question that keeps popping into my head: just what is a moderator's job description anyways?
