It is perfectly normal. Let us pretend, for the sake of this argument, that instead of them being on the internet, they are floating force-free in a dark empty space with lightbulbs on their heads. Let us also pretend that instead of them arguing about who is real and who is a character, they are arguing about who is moving and who is static.
