I guess it depends on how you look at it. If you really believe that I've suddenly reversed my years of standing up for gay rights and better treatment for the marginalized in society simply because I use the word "fag" then that's fine with me.

If you're that focused on semantics that the actual opinions and actions of a person are outweighed by the occasional slur than I'd rather not know you anyways, to be honest.

They could try asking. Or not assuming that everything they read is what they think it is. I think Starlite knows me well enough that she should know better. Or not. Either way, I find it disappointing that anyone would take the use of a single word to mean that a host of opinions must follow.

That and it's just a funny word. It would be one thing if I were to say something along the lines of "kill the fags." But when someone replies to a long post about how much he loves his girlfriend with the single word "fag," that's funny. Juvenile, but funny.

On topic, I use the word fag all of the time. It is all a matter of context and how it is used. If someone takes offense from first glance on written form, then I think that person needs to take the weight of that word from their mind. No one should be so easy to be slighted. Deep down i think everyone hates a little of everyone anyway, so let's be upfront about it and disregard the pretense.

Yes, but that's because most people here are xenophobic twats. Especially those fuckin' Brits who take our Olympics and give us their old people. I mean the countryside is full of those decrepit jelly-eaters, and near my home town there are pubs where French people are not allowed.

Anyway. What I wanted to say is that nobody believes your French jokes are serious, because you've said many times you wanted to flee the US and settle in a European country. But you knew that already. Just be careful when using "repetition comedy".

That's kind of the point. The thing that is getting to me more than anything here is that Starlite just won't stop trying to make me into a Better Person or something. I appreciate that she's so bent on evening out my karma or what have you but I'm really alright as-is. I don't need self-conscious left wing chic to make me feel "complete." I'd rather not make sense to some and have some small amount of inner peace than constantly have to re-invent myself according to what is and isn't ok for me to be saying out loud.
