People do not have some kind of strictly finite activism rescources, and me complaining about some minor infraction online for 3 minutes a day in no way means that I am not active in other areas. But even if it did--the fish still needs frying, and someone ought to do it. And no matter how minor an issue, if it can get somebody involved to consider that their actions are perhaps motivated by problematic factors, that's something already. It's not all about the big showy things. If I had to consider whether there are "bigger fish" for every act of activism I chose to pursue, I would be rendered immobile in constantly weighing the options. Also, for instance, I would then feel that any activism of behalf of women's rights or queer rights in this country were a waste of time, because women and queers in third-world countries have it so much worse, and surely I ought to focus on that.
