For fuck's sake, for the millionth time, it wasn't solely on the basis of accidentally catching a few minutes of Rocky III on TV that I decided I didn't like boxing; that incident just reminded me how vile I thought boxing was.

FWIW, my opinion changed a bit due to the thread discussion. I'm pretty sure my objection is actually to the spectacle of American prizefighting and the way it's practiced rather than to the entirety of the sport of boxing, especially as it's practiced elsewhere. I learned from the thread that in other countries, it's not as much of a billion-dollar industry where promoters get rich by pitting underprivileged people against one another in a human dogfight as it is in the States.

There's a productive thread 'round here every now and then.

You guys are making this too complicated. The fact of the matter is simple: Dara left because WildWind developed an aversion to professional boxing, which she did because Strawman had sent Dara some screen captures in a PM asking him how Telling Lies charted in Latvia. As a result, Dara created his alters Monkeyboy, Beltene, LadyMacbeth, RabbitFighter and JarethsGirl, which, however, was a good thing, but since we all confused Rocky 2 with Rocky 3 and are prejudiced against homosexuals, Dara is still leaving in order to protect his kids, who may otherwise develop an aversion towards professional boxing and, more importantly, tell their mum who his secret TW crush is. I'm not sure whether this was before or after Dara underwent a total change of lifestyle, becoming a devout catholic and prejudiced against homosexuals. As a result he lost the password to his old e-mail address and he tried to get a new one but his Latvian internet provider was telling lies, and he doesn't want his family to know he is receiving nawtee pictures.
Meanwhile, nobody is comforting the newbies and we still don't know how Rocky 2 charted in Latvia.

The steps we need to take in order to get Dara back are the following:
* Explain to him the difference between Rocky 2 and Rocky 3.
* The Catholic church must adopt a consistent viewpoint against homosexuality.
* Ban professional boxing.
* Send porn and pictures of our nobs to Dara's new, secret e-mail address.
* Create a forum for discussing Latvian charts.
