Heres the scan of the lyric sheet to NLMD which I promised. Note how much it looks like a city skyline with heavy smoke above it :

"Another misconception is that flying brains will get tangled in your hair."

wow this is all very spooky.
here are some of the words from Godspeed you black emporor's track- The dead flag blues which is also pretty spooky.
The dead flag blues- The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel and the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides and a dark wind blows the government is corrupt and we're on so many drugs with the radio on and the curtains drawn
we're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine and the machine is bleeding to death
the sun has fallen down and the billboards are all leering and the flags are all dead at the top of their poles
it went like this:
the buildings tumbled in on themselves mothers clutching babies picked through the rubble and pulled out their hair
the skyline was beautiful on fire all twisted metal stretching upwards everything washed in a thin orange haze
i said: "kiss me, you're beautiful - these are truly the last days"
we woke up one morning and fell a little further down - for sure it's the valley of death
Kick! Punch! It's all in the mind If you wanna test me, I'm sure you'll find that all the things, I'll teach ya is sure to beat ya, nevertheless you'll get a lesson from teacher now, kick punch HO!!!!!

"Time Will Crawl is laden with image one over another of a somewhat apolacyptic nature.
It deals with the idea of somebody in ones own community could turn out to be the man who's responsible for blowing up the world. And it was just this kid on the block"
- David Bowie - 1987 EMI Electronic Press Kit

this is nonsens. How could Bowie be able to know back in 1987 that in 2001 9/11 would occur. Don't think that he can look in the future. Its just a coincedence (not sure how to write that word)

Didn't you know Bowie is a proffesional fortune-teller, and a superman? I know he said he wasn't in Quicksand but God, that was just a lie. But he did say he had the potential of a superman, so, you never know.
Bolan likes to rock now Yes he does yes he does

I have a warrent for David Bowie's arrest, on charges of terrorism, conspiracy against the US Government, and buggary. If you should happen to see Mr. Bowie, do not attempt to capture him yourself. He is to be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact your local law enforcement agency. Thank You.

Wonderful work, Cryx.
But no, this does not show any predictive qualities on Mr. Bowie's part. It only shows that he has been writing about a variety of apocalypses for many years--in fact, a forthcoming doom seems to be the central theme in much of his songwriting.
The truly shocking thing is that these apocalyptic visions keep happening in our reality, and no longer reside only in the minds of sensitive, young artists who think the world is going to hell. It is.

He'll drive his sports car until it's too late
Can anyone confirm whether Bowie, Iggy (or friends) car was in fact a Porsche 911?
