Women rarely enjoy their first time.(unless they're rotten to the core),yet they always fall in love with their first man(again, unless they're rotten to the core)
As said Nicole Kidman, "centuries of evolution for that"! I can't believe we can still read that kind of bullshit in 2003 (not your excellent interpretation, only THAT) you should evolve man, it's just a physical question: it hurts very bad for some girls, and just a little for others who can appreciate their 1st act. And it also depends of the man, if he's brutal or sweet with the girl. Period. One of my friends had her 1st sexual experience with a man twice her age, not only she quite enjoyed it, but she didn't even really love him. And then a few months later she met another guy her age who's her boyfriend for 3 years now. So you see, she's not become a slut.
My favorite Bowie's love songs: "Heroes" (which is what if not a love song? the most moving ever written for me), It's gonna be me (not released I know, but still wonderful), Absolute beginners. I don't add Wild Is The Wind to the list because it is not a Bowie song. And sorry, but As the world falls down is a bit too saccharine (did I spell it right?) to me
The advantage of being clever is that you can play the fool, while the contrary is impossible (Woody Allen)

I wish the city itself was as romantic as the song... Believe or not, but Warsaw is a horrible place. But let's see what David said about both the song and the city in an interview he gave a polish music magazine "Tylko Rock" (Polish for "Only Rock", now known as "Teraz Rock", Polish for "Now Rock" ):
I tried to show in Warszawa all those feelings that accompanies peoeple when they desire freedom, they feel its smell when they are lying on grass but they can't reach it, they can't take it... I really fell in love with this polish song I got aware of in Poland, which is not a surprise when you listen to my vocals. I sang this tune being sure that it expresses the soul of polish nation. What I wanted was while listening to Warszawa you could see a fantastic shadow this city have. A shadow, which would become its reality one day. I think it's one of the most wonderful parts of my collaboration with Brian Eno. It's an awesome piece of music..
Sorry, I'm drunk. Very.

That was quite interesting, TJ.
But I have always found Warzawa to be a very sad, desolating (is that even a word??) sounding song. Still a very beautiful song.

I agree totally. It's a kind of an anthem of people who live under a communistic regim and have no freedom. That's why it's so sad and moving.

i also really love this song . . . and of course, i love the labyrinth. ~*sigh*~ i grew up on the movie, how can i not love it. anyway. yeah, this song makes me incredibly mad at sarah for being a freaking moron. he he he he. oh well. i must say, however, that letter to hermione is my favourite love song . . . just because . . . gosh, i know the feeling when you write letters upon letters to the one you've lost, but you never send them. you just put them in a drawer and one day you stumble upon them and you cry. ~*sigh*~ yup, i know those all too well. as i was just saying on another post (sorry to be redundant) i loved the song even before i heard it. i read the lyrics first, and i fell in love with the song. i had my friend hunt the song down for me. and i listened to it over and over and over. i love "but something tells me that you hide; when all the world is warm and tired, you cry a little in the dark . . . well, so do i" yup, i know the feeling all too well.
riff
So i'm hell bent on meeting david some day. ~*sigh*~ i can see it now. i'm strolling through central park one day and he's out with lexie. "good afternoon mr. jones" a conversation on art and writing styles would follow . . . some fantasy of mine
