I don't like to try to attempt to intrepret songs because I think they make everyone feel diffrent and think diffrent.. but I do like to know what yous have though or are thinking about songs I ask questions about in here.. Time.. is there an old thread somewhere that I can read about it.. if not.. would anyone care to share.. thank you..

Time. Definately one of his best songs. I love the lyrics, they are outrageous. It was quite silly to hear him sing
'Time.. He flexes like a whore, falls wanking to the floor.', but it easily became of my favourite Bowie-lines. The song is so tragic, so dramatic. I love the part where you hear nothing but his heavy breathing. I wish I'd come up with that!
If everyone read slash everyday, there'd be no wars.

That line is sampled in a remix of Nine Inch Nails' Mr Self-Destruct (I think it might be Self-Destruction, Final but I'm not entirely certain).

I think Time is just generally about show business... About some ageing artist, something tragic deffinately. And that's the reason I love the song. It has this same weird feeling as Rock'n'roll Suicide. I especially love that "I look at the watch, it says 9:25 and I think 'oh god, I'm still alive'" and "Chimes - god damn you're looking old, you'll freeze and catch a cold". Who cares what it really is about, I think what makes most songs good is that they are not too easily interpreted or they can be interpreted in many different ways.
Day after day they take some brain away...
