I pray, Olé

I think this track is underrated and forgotten. I personally think it´s a great song but i´ve never heard anyone speak of it and i´ve never seen a topic about it at any forum. I just love the song, the should´ve add it after red money as a closing track. The drums, the spanish-inspired guitar, the cool "Can you make, can you make it throught?" phrase. It´s brilliant!

I agree, this is probably one of my favorite tracks from the Lodger CD, it is a shame that it was only released as a Bonus Track. It would have sounded great on the album.

Yes, this song is brilliant!!! The intro to it is so good. I like how it starts so quiet and they just add more instruments and keep getting louder and faster until they are fully into the song. Sometimes it seems like I preferr this version over the original version. Oh, if only Tin Machine had been as good as this!

Re: I pray, Olé new [re: TheYoungDude]

I remember in 88/89 I used to get a fanzine called the Zi Duang Province (anyone remember it?) and Dean gave me my first news about tin machine, and I had heard Look back in Anger, and at that time, that was what I thought Tin Machine was going to sound like. Sadly not, not that I don't like Tin Machine anyway though.

I agree that it is a good song but would it really have fitted onto the album all that well? Maybe it's because it is a bonus track that was just tacked onto the end of the album, it seems to be seperate from the songs that come before it. With Low, though, Some Are flows on seemlessly from Subterraneans, so possibly not.

This song was actually intended to be my first departure into Mariachi. It was originally very different. Here are the lyrics from the original, Spanish version:

¡Yip, yip, yahoo! ¡Yeehaw! ¡Yip, yip, yip! ¡Mis amigos!!

It might be released sometime in the future. Maybe we'll record it for Toy.
