although i did not pay attention to his newer stuff properly until a few years ago.

It was also one of the first albums I ever actually bought, and one of the reasons I became a Bowie fan. So there!

I'm 15 and been a Bowie fan for about 6 years. The first album I got of his was '...hours' also. I didn't know what to get first. There aren't very many Bowie fans my age around this one horse town. It's sooo lonely without Bowie fans...that's why I joined this place and BowieNet.
