Who's On First new [re: Mxy]

In reply to:

Does the title Never Let Me Down count? A lot of critics seem to think it's a reference to Don't Let Me Down.

Or it could be that he covered Don't Bring Me Down and Don't Bring Me Down & Down in tribute to it since he couldn't get permission at that stage to release another Beatles cover.

Another connection:

"I don't believe in Zimmerman" - God
"Now hear this Robert Zimmerman (etc.)" - Song For Bob Dylan

He's My Brother

Which one?

I would love to check.

Was Lennon shot in the head?

No, I don't think so. After exiting his limo (with cassette tapes in hand), Lennon apparantly exchanged glances with his killer and kept on walking. The gun was then drawn, aimed at his back and shot five times.

Re: Lennon quotations in DB songs new [re: Pablo-Picasso]

Sorry, not quite complete, as he sings 'But first you must smile as you learn how to kill' instead of Lennon's 'But first you must learn how to smile when you kill'.

That might have saved him from suing...;)

Lennon was shot five times in the back, the bullets shattered his ribcage, he didn't actually die from the bullet wounds themself, he actually bled to death.

getting a bit off topic.... new [re: russellmael]

When you hit some of the rather important organs like the heart or certain parts of the brain bleeding itself is not really the problem. Of course when done not professional shooting someone is likely to result in a bigger mess than one would expect after watching TV.

Are you bad enough?
