Wake up

this song is really good. What you thing of these lyrics??
Somethin’ filled up my heart with nothin’, someone told me not to cry.
But now that I’m older, my heart’s colder, and I can see that it’s a lie.
Children wake up, hold your mistake up, before they turn the summer into dust.
If the children don’t grow up, our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up. We’re just a million little god’s causin rain storms Turnin’ every good thing to rust.
I guess we’ll just have to adjust.
With my lighnin’ bolts a glowin’ I can see where I am goin’ to be when the reaper he reaches and touches my hand.
With my lighnin’ bolts a glowin’ I can see where I am goin’ With my lighnin’ bolts a glowin’ I can see where I am go-goin’
You better look out below!

I don't care much for the lyrics either - it's your typical aimless art-rock lyric. I do very much like The Arcade Fire, I apppreciate their music a hell of a lot.
Its about time I had a signature

To be honest, lyrics are not the most important part of a song for me, and especially a song like Wake up, just feel that exhuberance, I couldn't care less if they were singing the phone book, that song is so exciting.

Yeah the lyrics are good but far from exceptional, like most music I listen to it's more about the music than the lyrics. I finally got around to buying Funeral today. What an album... and the artwork is fantastic.

I just saw Arcade Fire in concert last night in Seattle. Great show. Electric energy.
And . . . they played "Five Years" which was a fantastic surprise!
If you haven't bought the Arcade Fire EP (which preceded Funeral by a year) do so.

It is not as good or as consistant as Funeral, but I would not say it is not worth owning. It can almost be considered another album.
