LOL x 6 new [re: ErichJohann]

Haha! I love your rating system Erich

I'm leaving live albums and soundtracks out of mine.

It's a bit like choosing favourite children. I lay them out in order and one wanders up to my leg, tugs on my pants, and cries "Why daddy why? Why am I number eight, I thought you loved me so dearly...."

1. Hunky Dory
2. Scary Monsters
3. Diamond Dogs
4. Earthling
5. Aladdin Sane
6. Station to Station
7. Outside
8. The Man Who Sold the Peanuts
9. Low
10. Black Tie, White Noise
11. Heroes
12. NLMD
12.5 Buddha of Suburbia
13. Ziggy Stardust
13.5 Tin Machine
14. Space Oddity
15. Tin Machine II
16. Hours...
17. Lets Dance
18. Young Americans
19. Lodger
19.5 Labyrinth Soundtrack (I lied)
20. Tonight
21. Pinups
22. David Bowie

Look at that stuff go all over the place

Preference: Intermediate Results new [re: schizophrenic]

I have tried to figure oút whose leading in an olympic fashion: Only top 3 places count, 3 points for place one, 2 for two, one for three. Same number of points, the higher number of top rankings marks the winner. Here are the results so far:

1) Outside 33
2) Low 31
3) Ziggy / Hunky Dory 19 (exactly the same points and rankings)
5) Scary Monsters 19
6) Diamond Dogs 18
7) Heroes 14
8) Station to Station 12
9) Lodger 6
10) Buddha 3
11) Tin Machine II 3
12) The Man Who 2
13) Aladdin / Earthling 1

I did this very quickly so if anyone finds any mistakes, I am sorry. I only counted álbums that got at least one top three position.

My flabber has been well and truly ghasted! I know that it's obviously each to their own, but still......

Oh come on, none of you can really like this album (Hunky Dory). It's so supreme in it's badness that it deserves to win the gold medallion in the olympic games for bad music!

Mirage!

Yeah, with "Ziggy Stadust" and "Low" as runners up. And the title in the Olympic Games for real brilliance goes to "Tonight", closely followed by "Never Let Me Down" and the extended rave mix of "Little Drummer Boy".
