Tonight was the first new Bowie Album i ever bought, before that i was buying albums already released. I find it enjoyable, though it was only this year I finally got it on cd. Blue Jean, Alien, Dancing with the big boys, neighborhood threat are brilliant, God only knows was different, tonight, don't look down, tumble and twirl were so so, i keep forgetting was appaling.
Never let me down was better, for 1987 i played it all the time, listening to it now is not so easy.History has rewritten this due mainly to Bowie's own opinion. Never let me down had mainly good reviews with the usual best since scary monsters tag. Again there are some good songs on it and some not so good, i was never that struck with day in day out as the lead off single, should have been time will crawl and bang bang should've been a single.
Not mentioned by you but also Tin machine had rave reviews when it came out I think Q gave it five stars, but again history has been rewritten for this album too.
There is good in everything if you know where to look.
Day after day, they take my friends away, to a mansion cold and grey, on the far side of town.

I really like NLMD, it was one of the first Bowie albums I got (the Amazon.com samples led me to believe it sounded exactly like Diamond Dogs) although as with all Bowie albums for me it goes in stages. Shining Star and The Beat of Your Drum are very underrated in particular IMO, though the latter should be shorter. As for Tonight, I don't have it. I've heard some of the tracks and they don't measure up at all to the Lust For Life equivalents. Otherwise, the non Iggyrippedoff tracks, Loving The Alien and Dancing With The Big Boys I like.

~*raises hands*~ I sure do! That might be due to my extreme draw to 80s music, or perhaps they're just enjoyable albums.

I think you'll find them to be the most popular albums around these parts.

Had you phrased the question "Does anyone like NLMD or Tonight, I would be able to answer yes. I think NLMD is a very well-done album in a genre that gets far too little respect, while Tonight contains one good song, maybe two if I'm in the right mood.
This is Dukewhite's Signature Side 2, hence it contains no words

In reply to:
No.
See, had no one else said yes, this would've been almost kind of funny.

Alright. Well, I'm burning all of David Bowie's CDs (after legally obtaining the MP3s, of course) and I was thinking that since there are so many songs on Let's Dance/Tonight/NLMD that are revolting, I would consolidate them all into one album. Any suggestions on what tracks I should use?
