Made the Dixie Chicks famous even in Germany. Unfortunately we didn't here much of the same from too many other artists at the time. European or American. Brave Girls. It's a shame the Germans couldn't make up for their lost record sales. We are just not a country country. More into Volksmusik.
And I want to believe In the madness that calls 'now'

Several country radio stations in the Southern States held Dixie Chick CD smashing parties
Some may have been in response to the comments, but I think most of the smashing was in reaction to their god-awful cover of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide.

Just a mountain of knowledge, Tristan.....truly! It's amazing to see all the statistics side by side like that of all the DC have accomplished.
I've learned that I can't choose how I feel, but... I can choose what I do about it. ~ ~ ~

That's the way! And throw in some "Harry Potter" books for good measure! That way, they can kill two birds with one stone.

The line "Fame puts you there where things are hollow" ,Springs to my mind. We as individuals do not need to be politically correct,But you reap what you sow when the time comes.I feel sorry for them,Pity they did'nt have more brains...

Bowie learn to choose his words very carefully after claiming his bisexuality and his flirtation with fascism in the mid 70's.
Bowie doesn't need to speak his mind about political issues, his immediate fanbase doesn't raelkly care. They want escapism.
