Re: 11 years and still waiting. new [re: Tristan]

I would love that set, I got all her albums but only on cassette, and I got the video of her singles, that is fantastic.

I know a lot of people will want to shoot me for this, but I think Kiss deserves a mention.

Duh, how could I forget Kiss? It isn't a matter of liking them or not, the question was about visual artists. Well, some may dispute the artist part, but they certainly were visual!

I first saw them in '77 and it blew my mind. Then I saw them again in the early 80's. It was the last tour before they took their makeup off. God bless'em, they were trying, but they weren't in favor at the time, had no current hits and they just seemed tired. It was actually embarrassing. Most of the stunts went haywire or just plain didn't work. Particularly funny was when Ace was doing his solo bit and was trying to do the pyrotechnics. He kept trying but was shooting duds. Somehow the mystique was gone at that point...

I didn't go to any of the later farewell tours because of this memory, fair or not. I prefer now to think of the first show rather than being disappointed by bloated old men

That would be the Whole Story. You must get a copy of the Hammersmith Odeon concert.

If you don't have anything nice to say, go to London and say it in front of 2000 people. NM.

I saw a copy about 10 years ago which was bundled with a cd of the concert too, I was a fool not to get it.

Wish she'd bring something new out.

Did you hear she called execs from EMI down to her house to show them what she's been working on and when they got there, she showed them a tray of cakes or something.

I love that story.
