great, and books are a waste of paper... music videos are a kind of art. and i would expect him to care for art. but as it seems the image of an artist got a bit to boring for him and he prefers the live musician image. which is okay as well.
i'd still believe that a good video by Michel Gondry or Spike Jonze would get airplay.
NKS on the other hand was a rediculous piece of digital diddling. there is nothing special about this video and you can find lots of first-semester design students who are already producing better output than this.
