I've got both mixes of Day-In, as well as both the Dance Crew Mix & Extended Dance Mix of Time Will Crawl. I'm the proud owner of Blue Jean, Loving The Alien, Absolute Beginners, Underground, Time Will Crawl (edm), Never Let Me Down & Fame '90 12" singles, the rest I've got on mp3 or pirated CD from various friendly TWers (and some from Bowie Audio).

The only thing I need from this period is the 12" of Magic dance, I have never come close to a copy, though I did hear it on Bowie Audio this week for the first time.

The Dub Mix of Magic Dance is excellent. I'm not so much a fan of A Dance Mix (the A-side, for those unversed in these matters), but the Dub mix is really good.

Underated: Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Lodger, Outside (only by joe public and critics)

Overated: Ziggy Stardust (in comparison to Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane)

I'd never say Ziggy was overrated, it's an absolute PHENOMENON. There's nothing like it before or after, nor will there ever be again.

I'd say no. It's good, but Bowie has done many albums that are better.

Underated - There are a lot in the general concesus. Most of the albums between Scary Monsters and Heathen get a raw deal, especially Earthling, and NLMD. I listened to side one of that last night and really enjoyed it. But I'd say Buddha Of Suburbia is most underated of all.

Overated - Either Heathen or Ziggy. Both great albums, of course, but there have been much better.

Yes, it was. And it is actually the only case in which I would say: It's better than Hunky Dory.
