I keep hearing rumors about this upcoming album, but nothing official.
Does anybody know if this is Bowie's next project and if it will be released sometime soon?
I think 2005 would be a good year, 10 years after 1.Outside!

Actually, someone on BowieNet said they actually saw David leaving a concert recently and asked him this. Bowie just laughed awkwardly and said something to the effect of, "Maybe someday". The person indicated that they had a feeling this meant "No".

it's too late. outside itself already was released too late, otherwise perhaps it would have been seen as a groundbreaking album. releasing music like Outside today would not be experimentation but pure retro-sound. which could be a good idea when the the 90th/millenium retro-hype starts in about ten years....

We can safely sau that it will never see the light of day in the form it was originally planned, a new album recorded by just Bowie and Eno together, without any additional musicians.

I'm quite positive though that we'll see a release of Outside outtakes under the 2. Contamination -title sooner or (more probably) later. Probably only after David's death.

As was in fact was "Outside" when it came out. You are right, th0mas, it got out too late. Some 15 years , I would say.
