that is where the roots are, but saying it had nothing to add to low and "heroes" would be like saying the whole industrial/techno/electronic movement since then did not add anything. it is true with the huge improvement of the digital possibilities the 90ies got sort of a electronic retro-time. but if you think it was simply remastering the old idea with a lower noisefloor you missed something. a song like heart's filthy lesson was not creatable in the late 70s as it was not imaginable.
