Now I'm happy thanks a lot new [re: Starlite]

Wow, thanks a lot for posting that picture, where do you get them?

In fact, I suspect that surgery lies behind this. I too have noticed on recent pictures that his upper lip (and by that I mean the whole area between nose and mouth) looks funny - too big - in a way that it did not do before. this could be just aging but I doubt it, because that upper lip looks unnatural to me. It could date back to his tooth surgery, but he did not look that funny ten years ago.

So finally, it could be either that he just had another operation, or it could be the combined effect of aging and that old tooth fix.

Re: Now I'm happy thanks a lot new [re: Emil]

I think that's more to do with 5 o clock shadow and lighting. 10 years ago he had more facial hair. 10 years before that he had none.

I think yer all dreamin'

I still feel surgery is the reason! if you were to get a picture of his face, say, one for each year since 1990, you will see a diference...
Also, if you were to look at some photo's of him recording during the hours sessions, he had large crows feet around his eyes, which now are no longer present, or not as visible! But, what i did notice, is after hours and around Heathen he had put some weight on!!! But now he has lost it, probably due to touring!
I do get upset when i see pictures of him looking old, esp. some pictures of his hands, look really old!! I wish i was born 20 years earlier to ahve seen him in his prime!!
But, that is life

All i fear, is all i know!

Sorry eddi, if I had read the thread more carefully I would have seen that you already brought up the facelift argument. I hope I refined it even more. It's not like me to post without reading previous posts.

Yes, as I noted in another thread some time ago, he looked older in 2002 than in 2003 - strange, isn't it - all the more so as putting off weight is not very likely to make one less wrinkled, is it... Anyway, none of us has met Bowie in "normal" circumstances, have we? In concert, not even mentioning photos, you have to be very close to judge, and then you still have to take at least lighting into account, so it's very difficult to form a foolproof opinion.

Re: Flaw, my ass! new [re: eddi_vaibow]

In reply to:

Show me a picture of David Bowie without make up then ZigBot, then i can see your point!!

HERE you go: Scroll down to the HUGE PICTURE of him arriving for The Today Show taping last September. No makeup, and hair hidden under a cap. (How good do YOU look at 6:00 am?) Looks a bit more wrinkled, but lovely.

I still think no plastic surgery is involved, just lesser stuff (facials, maybe a glycolic acid peel, and firming foundation for stage appearances).

Re: Flaw, my ass! new [re: zigbot]

zigbot, thanks a lot, i reckon he looks better minus the make up!
but if he wore the clothes he has done, on the reality tour, minus the make up, i think he'd look a bit odd, maybe in denial... but zigbot, good picture!
