Alabama Song

Annoying cover, done so much better by so many other artists. Take it out.

Yeah, he didn't even write it. That's why I'll go for that one. All four really great songs, anyway.

In reply to:

will...download singles (like "Rebel Never Get Old" or "Your Turn to Drive") be included as well?

They're not really singles, though, are they? More like downloadable songs he couldn't be bothered to release properly. Country-specific singles are more complicated, since there are just so many of them there's almost bound to be one or two which get overlooked. Just as long as songs like The Hearts Filthy Lesson and The Jean Genie don't get filed under T again it should be OK.

Now, I almost made the same mistake as RabbitFighter and I was going to say Ashes To Ashes, instead of Absolute Beginners.

I hope you don't mention The Doors among those artist. Besides, I think Bowie's version is really amazing from a musical point of view. It's one of his most complex arrangements ever. As you can hear, Bowie sings in 4/4, while the band plays in some kind of very weird bar divission, like 7/8 or something (I don't know the words in english for this kind of technical stuff, sorry). Not an easy thing to do, I can tell. Try to follow the rhythm pattern, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Alabama Song - it's a pretty good rendition of a pretty good song but the others on the list are better.

Excellent idea, Strawman. I love these games.

"Ashes to Ashes" to the grave, please,

And I want to believe
