We have piped music where I work and for years there was never any Bowie on it, but lately we have Ziggy Stardust, Young Americans, and a couple of others, which is always nice, kinda breaks the day up.
Would that music be real Bowie, or sound-alike ?
In reply to:
I also heard Young Americans in a local co-op store.
Give me strength, i always call the co-op "The Twilight Zone" people go in and are never seen again
In reply to:
Only insofar as I've been forced to hear the horribly mangled instrumental version of Heroes they've been playing over the Wanadoo advert on UK tv recently
I still hav'nt heard that yet! but some people say its good ?
In reply to:
Yesterday, I heard "Fame" in the elevator, at the mall.
Well its made it at last
The most unusual place for me would be, in a resturant in Turkey, the waiters were singing in Turkish, to "Lets Dance"
I of course refused to leave a tip

Heard Sorrow on the radio, and then got out of the car, went into Coles (supermarket) and China Girl was playing. Mum and me were bopping around the store, singing along, lol. There is a TV show on ABC called Mondo Thingo, and it had No Control playing along behind one of the segments.

Oh it's the real Bowie, we don't have any of that Schmaltzy Muzak

, i put the smile in for you
None of the big stores in Norwich play music, except the one! that one being Morrisons, never heard Bowie in there yet though its always the Carpenters and Dione Warwick, interupted with very LOUD customer announcements
Once heard Twiggy and ran out

Well thank god, I won't be working for Morrison's, they have to sell my store on, so it will be becoming a Waitrose, much more classy.

Indeed much more classy, part of the John Lewis group, so does that mean you will also become a partner ?

Very true, yes I will, and all that entails, bonuses and fantastic staff discount, also a career break after 25 years.
