Yeah, I once heard "Modern Love" in a supermarket and "Golden Years" in a Rite Aid. Oh, and while browsing in my college's bookstore, I heard "Young Americans." For some weird reason, I also seem to remember hearing "Sons Of The Silent Age" someplace...

We all know where you've been, you military fairy!

Top this new [re: Max_M]

I've been pondering whether to post this or not, but what the hell, here goes:

A few years ago I downloaded a gay s/m movie by WinMX, and watching the movie I was surprised to realise that the music on it was an instrumental version of When The Wind Blows, extended to last the entire lenght of the film (11 minutes).

implant neurone, firewall callzone, protein fast phase, metatag interplay, viral vortex, lo-tech complex, saferoom, jet-shoes

I have a version of "When The Wind Blows" that runs for 5.20, never heard of one lasting 11 mins, I think I'd like to hear that.

Rather an unsual choice of music for such a video clip

So this would have your viewing doubly exciting

Actually, the film was crap otherwise. And the music was undoubtedly added on it later on, it didn't match the action very well, plus there were no other sounds.

I might try to rip the music from the clip, if I still have it.

Nice one K, perhaps you might be able to post the track, as long as you can find it, please

You do realise it's probably just an instumental loop dogz? Your obsession is downright scary.

Yes isn't it

I have the Ashes To Ashes 12 min version, I know that's a fake, but it's bloody good.

Re: Hearing Bowie in unusual places new [re: OleanderWhoosh]

'Home At Last' - the instrumental variations on Bowie's Labyrinth songs - is currently played as part of the exit music for IMAX theatres at Melbourne Museum. The beginning and end is merged with other random instrumentals so it creeps up on you until you're thinking....'hang on - I know this!'.

At the Cornish Arms Hotel on Saturday, I also heard - by coincidence - Hunky Dory and Lodger played in their entirety.

So that's two weekends in a row of 'Bowie in unusual places'.
