I'm saying that people who are mighty after the flesh, like Bowie, do not trust God or look forward to heaven.
In fact, Bowie is in a sinful marriage now; he was extremely unfaithful to Angela and has no right to remarry. Do you think Bowie will humble himself and obey God? No, he will continue to do what he wants.

Hey! I'm 14 and I know that he's 43 years older than me and I STILL WANT TO SHAG HIM! What's the problem with fantasies, Adam?

When did you turn from a serialkiller to biblebasher anyway?

I'm a little confused as to how this post has turned out. Last time I checked this board was about Bowie, not about pushing feeble-minded beliefs onto those who could care less.

Has he gone insane? What is this nonsense? Discussion is one thing, but what's this crap about "sinful marriage" and not following God? PC has no idea of Bowie's religius nature/persuasion, and what's more, it's none of his business. If irreverance towards religion is bothering you, flee from this place! Foe indeed, it is rife with heathens and atheists!
if you dont behave, I'll turn this message board around and we'll just go home

O.K., if that's what you're saying. But "so what?" is my response to that. The very CONCEPT of heaven was one aimed at and intended for the masses--the poor, powerless, and meek on this Earth, who were told that with belief in God, and by the grace of God, they would go to Heaven. The whole "the first shall be the last, and the last shall be the first" thing. The most religiously devout people do tend to be the ones whose lives are close to Hell. Who better to look forward to Heaven than he who feels he is in Hell already? The poor and the powerless tend to be more religious. But, so what? That's how it is. In reply to:

Bugger off, will you? He was unfaithful to Angie, who was also unfaithful to him, and they AGREED at the outset to tolerate each others' infidelities. Now regardless of whether you find that sort of "marriage" to be "sinful," why are you blaming DAVID only for his "unfaithfulness"? And even if it were true that he alone wronged Angie and she did not wrong him back, how does that deprive him of the "right" to remarry? And does it also deprive him of the right to mature and grow and, this time around, have a more meaninful bond and union with his wife? Even the Catholics--who seem obcessed with all things relating to reproduction and marriage--will "annul" a marriage and allow one to re-marry. Why on Earth do you say David Bowie has no "right" to marry? And how can you characterize his current marriage as "sinful"? Who are you? What the bleepin' hell do you know? In reply to:
Do you think Bowie will humble himself and obey God? No, he will continue to do what he wants.
That is for Bowie and God to figure out--your prejudgment on the issue is irrelevant to both of them. And I surely do hope that the REAL God isn't the reactionary, pre-judging idiot that YOU apparently portray Him to be.
You seem deeply troubled, my son. You idolize and worship Bowie, yet you flog yourself for doing so. But no one MAKES you do it. So, if it is so damn distressing to you that you elevate this man above God, then deal with it by joining a 12-step program that gets you off these Bowie boards and into the monestary of your choice. You are REALLY beginning to get under my skin. You're probably some alter ego who likes to incite B.S., but I have to call B.S. when I see it, and in you it is always plentiful and overflowing. The stench is revolting.

Adam, when I was 14 I wanted to shag Bowie senseless but now I'm in my mid 30's I don't want to shag him at all! (He's only about 22 years older than me, not 43 though!). So PAINocraft's original statement is flawed already
PAINocraft, who says Bowie has to "obey God" anyways? "God" is a figament of the human imagination. In case you forgot, he's not some guy sitting in the clouds with a book of rules of which people must obey.
Get Bowie Back Downunder! GBBD 2005 !!!!
